[EE 304] Compliment Party - Classroom Activity

It is important to start the semester well, but it is just as important to finish it well. The meaning of ending well is probably a time to think about a meaningful ending together with the students. Looking back on the learning during the semester and the precious memories with the students I took the class with... So, the last week's activity was a Compliment Party - a discussion activity to express gratitude to the students who took the class. As always, I get a lot of energy from the posts of the students, more than I expected. Suddenly, I thought about the answer to the question of why I like my job and give it a lot of meaning, which is to meet students with various ideas through class activities and develop each other's thoughts under the big topic of 'education'. I thought it might be because watching the movie comes with a big meaning. So, I would like to write down the opinions of the students delivered through the activity. "Everyone in this class has be

Mental Wellbeing Check-in Activity - Draw Emojis

Today's topic is my past week expressed with emoticons. Usually, in this activity, the teacher puts emoticons on the screen and asks the students to choose them, but in my class, I had the students draw them directly to add a more creative element. It was an early morning class, so even the students who rushed in felt that it was helpful to calm the students' emotions as they were able to catch their breath and draw slowly as soon as they started the activity. Student B, who tried to capture a lot of happy expressions by changing colors Student A is proud that her emoji has hair

Healthy Heavenly Hash Bar

To add something fun to class activities, I did a Google search and found that today is National Heavenly Hash Bar Day (Feb 2nd). Heavenly Hash Bar, I've never heard of before?? When I searched more for the name, it was a chocolate bar that mainly contains marshmallows and nuts.  https://nationaldaycalendar.com/national-heavenly-hash-day-february-2/ Because my course is a health-related subject, I decided to make my own chocolate bar that tastes good with minimal additives! -Ingredients- 1 semi-sweet chocolate bar for baking Half a cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/4 cup milk 2 tablespoons Nutella 1 cup nuts (crushed) dried fruit Serial First, prepare the mold to make the chocolate bar. If you have a square bowl at home, it seems to be possible. Cut parchment paper to fit the size of the bowl, place it inside the bowl, and press down with a fork to give it its shape.                                         Turn the nuts in a blender

[Home-Baking] Whole-Wheat Ricotta Cheese Cobbler

If you want to eat fruit differently, there is a cobbler recipe that you can easily make at home. There are so many different types of cobblers, and there are many different types of cobblers in each household. While it is easy to make, the taste is deep and light (?). This time, I decided to try making it healthier by using especially whole wheat flour. First, lightly wash the blueberries and place them on a sieve. Rub the outside of the apple with baking soda, clean it, and cut it into small pieces. I needed about 3 tablespoons of butter, but I only have 2.5 tablespoons left, so I'll just use it as is. Chop it up into small pieces and place it in a baking glass bowl. Put it in the microwave for 45 seconds and it melts so well. You can use sugar or honey, but I found quince jam left in the refrigerator for a while and decided to use it today. Take a large tablespoon of jam and spread it on top of the melted butter. Sift 1 cup whole wheat flour through a sieve Sprinkle two tablespo

Pajeon '파전' - Korean home cooking

As the school year begins, it is fun to pack lunches every day. The first rule when packing a lunch box is that you should never eat too much - because you sit for at least 6 hours and there are quite a variety of snacks to eat in between. One of the joys of going to school is to collect snacks like a squirrel every day in the office.  It's easy to forget.. Students and other professors often come to the office as well.  So, don't forget to hang a "Busy" sign outside when eating snacks.😉😉 When I opened the refrigerator, I found a bunch of chives that were automatically picked up every time I went shopping. So tomorrow's lunch menu is decided to be Pajeon! Ingredients 1. dough 1 cup flour 1 teaspoon salt 2/3 cup milk 1 egg 2. Inside 1 scallion 1 cup frozen shrimp 1 green pepper/cheongyang pepper 1 red pepper some mushrooms (Ingredients can be substituted according to your preference except for scallion) F

It would be nice if we all met face-to-face, but many students are already working and taking classes in other states, so we are meeting and working with some students living on campus. One of my favorite activities is, "high, low, & buffalo". It is an activity that allows students to share and empathize with difficulties or joys in their daily life. One of the things that have increased with the increase of online non-face-to-face c
