Healthy Heavenly Hash Bar

To add something fun to class activities, I did a Google search and found that today is National Heavenly Hash Bar Day (Feb 2nd).

Heavenly Hash Bar, I've never heard of before?? When I searched more for the name, it was a chocolate bar that mainly contains marshmallows and nuts. https://nationaldaycalendar.com/national-heavenly-hash-day-february-2/

Because my course is a health-related subject, I decided to make my own chocolate bar that tastes good with minimal additives!

-Ingredients-

1 semi-sweet chocolate bar for baking

Half a cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/4 cup milk

2 tablespoons Nutella

1 cup nuts (crushed)

dried fruit

Serial

First, prepare the mold to make the chocolate bar. If you have a square bowl at home, it seems to be possible. Cut parchment paper to fit the size of the bowl, place it inside the bowl, and press down with a fork to give it its shape.

Turn the nuts in a blender slightly and grind just enough to see the grains.

I picked it up because it was on sale but not I am happy that it was quite organic 👍❤️

Put the chocolate pieces in a baking bowl, pour the milk, and microwave for 30 seconds - Stir with a spatula - 30 seconds again to melt!

Scoop two tablespoons of Nutella and mix together for a subtle hazelnut flavor.

Add prepared nuts, dried fruits and cereals and mix well.

Now all you have to do is pour it over and harden it, and you're done! Pour the chocolate bar into the mold and put it in the refrigerator overnight to harden (usually 5-6 hours is sufficient)

Cut it into bite-size pieces and put it in a pretty bag, and it's ready to share.

I wrapped the bars with cute bags and shared them with my students❤️❤️

Iowa City Jazz Festival 2019

One of my favorite summer events in Iowa City, Jazz Festival. This year, me and my buddy had a project, walking every night for an hour. During Jazz Festival, our destination was the Pentacrest where we can chill out with amazing live music and jazzy excitement.  And we got a bonus present, fireworks! The second day of Jazz Festival, we came to the Pentacrest again and had another amazing concert night.
